Get to Know Us

My name is Kenya McDaniels, and I am the owner/ operator of Safe Havan Rides. I am a native of New Orleans, La, I became a resident of Arlington, Tx in 2018.

For years, I have always had a soft spot in my heart for children, the elderly and individuals with disabilities.

For over 15 years, I worked in child care at headstart centers and private daycares.

In 2019, my husband was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. As the years went by, his health started declining, as his health declined, I became his caregiver. For 5 years, my husband fought, stayed strong and never complained!! In January of 2024, my husband decided he fought long and hard enough, he passed away. My husband dedicated 22 years of service in the United States Navy, his name is Albert Lewis Jr., he retired as a Chief Petty Officer. We were married 7 years and together 11. Together we have 4 children, 3 girls and 1 boy.

The name of the business was inspired by another man who had a great influence on my life. My Godfather/father figure, his name is Havan Michael Bell, he passed away in June of 2021 So Safe HAVAN Rides seemed like the right fit for this company.

Both of these men are greatly missed, I pray I can make them proud of me.

This business is near and dear to my heart for so many reasons. One is, I've always wanted to help people in need and always prayed for the day I was in the position to help. As a former daycare provider and caregiver, I feel providing this service will help me feel like I'm serving my purpose in life.
